A client came to us because their website wasn't generating any traffic. They had been spending thousands a month on Pay Per Click (PPC) ads with no result. They were losing more business each and every month.
We took a look at their web site and we saw that it was a beautiful creation of flash animations and images. The problem was that the flash was not fully searchable and the images did not have supporting information for the search engines to find. In this case the only words that the search engines were finding were the name and the web site of the original web site developer.
Our first step was to Search Engine Optimized (SEO) the site by updating it to current internet standards. All the text was made readable for search engines. The flash movies were converted to image slide shows with the proper labels added to them so that they would help in the SEO ranking of the site. The site looked the same, but it now interacted correctly with the search engines.
Their PPC campaign was modified to be a localized campaign, since their customers were local. The cost of managing the PPC campaign and the ad budget was significantly less than they had been paying.
The result is that they started to get new clients to replace the ones that they had been losing and were able to grow their business in a down economy.
